Associate professor in social work
I work part-time as a researcher at the Institute for Futures Studies with the programme project Social exclusion – causes and effects. My main research interests are European social policy, organisation of the welfare state and decentralisation. At present I am working with a comparative project on the reorganisation of different social policy areas in eight European countries. I also participate in the network RECWOWE – Reconciling Work and Welfare in Europe.
In my thesis (2005) I wrote about the organisation of social assistance in Sweden, focusing mainly on the intake of new clients. Thereafter my research focused on welfare state reforms in Sweden and in other European countries from a governance perspective.
I also work part time as a senior lecturer at Stockholm University’s Department of Social Work.
