What are futures studies?
The Institute for Futures Studies is engaged in the production of a knowledge base focusing on issues of importance for the future, and also actively promotes debate about the future. Our current research programme is based on perspectives drawn from the human and social sciences. We study how people organise their lives and how different organisations affect their living conditions. We also analyse the interplay between the local and the global, and between individuals, firms and organisations. Read more
